After Michael Avenatti was declared a criminal, the media darling has cleared the important and final step for becoming a Democrat presidential candidate.
As Avenatti was being walked from the courthouse to a squad car, he delivered this brief victory speech: “To those who doubted that this young man from northern California could one day start a movement, to them I say…”
Unfortunately for the convicted felon, his speech was cut short by the slamming shut of a police car door. But his abbreviated press conference didn’t stop the pundits at CNN from gushing praise for Avanatti.
“Wow. Michael keeps adding to his resume,” Max Boot said dabbing his forehead with a handkerchief. “I mean, this is Clintonesque stuff right here. Trump is undoubtedly terrified by this development.”
Despite Michael Avanatti’s conviction and fanfare, top leadership within the Democratic Party are warning the corrupt lawyer still needs to pass the ultimate test for being a prominent liberal with staying power.
“He’ll need to be seen as 100% guilty by everyone but suspiciously avoid any punishment at all,” warned Fox’s Donna Brazile. “We’ll see. I just hope we still live in a country that delivers fairness and justice for all except liberal Democrats.”
