Mall Closes Its Doors, Forgets To Tell Sears Employees

After 62 years of serving Henderson, Nevada, Cedar Mall is closing its doors and converting the building into a Trampoline City. The problem is, no one bothered to tell Sears.

“To be honest, we kind of forgot that Sears was even there,” said property manager, Don Booker. The Mall’s last day of business was Saturday, June 15th but Sears didn’t notice the property had been abandoned until the following Wednesday.

“Someone should’ve noticed the chains on the door,” Sears clerk, Tanner Dudley, told The Glorious American. “But for those four days we didn’t really notice a change in foot traffic.”

When asked why the Sears staff didn’t question being locked inside the building for multiple nights, Tanner explained, “We figured it was overtime. We were finally going to make some decent money, so we didn’t question it.”
