WASHINGTON, DC — On Tuesday, Yankee Doodle testified in front of dozens of angry House Democrats.
“We want to know exactly where he’s been sticking that feather!” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez yelled to the crowd of reporters upon entering the Capitol building.
Over the decades, Yankee Doodle has driven the left crazy with his overly flamboyant patriotism. Tuesday’s hearing was the Democrat’s chance to grill the Yankee, particularly on his controversial lyrics.
There were some heated exchanges, highlighted by the following:
“I feel I’ve been very clear on this,” Mr. Doodle said. “I stuck the feather in my cap.”
But an angry AOC shot back, “Oh, really? And what would you call that type of behavior?”
“I called it macaroni,” Mr. Doodle said, leaning into the microphone.
“GET HIM OUT OF HERE!” Alexandria screamed.
