LOS ANGELES, CA—During halftime of the Super Bowl, Rams quarterback, Matthew Stafford was served lawsuit paperwork from teammate Odell Beckham Jr.
The 58-page lawsuit claims that seconds after Beckham Jr. completed a simple Slant Route, Stafford (a white male) failed to throw him the ball.
“Really? In the wake of George Floyd, I have to put up with this?” Beckham Jr. told reporters. “I was WIDE OPEN! Hands up, don’t…pass my ass the ball? Just ’cause I’m black?”
Despite it being a Sunday, Reverend Al Sharpton was miraculously available to speak for the mistreated Rams receiver to the press.
“I do declare, the actions seen today reminded me of Rodney King,” Sharpton said. “When in the pocket, Stafford should consider the plight of the underserved communities before throwing. Is it too much to ask for a quarterback to make split-second decisions based on skin color? No. No, it’s not. How many black wide receivers need to be ignored until America wakes up?”
When reached for comment, Matthew Stafford channeled his inner Joe Rogan with the following response:
“I threw the ball to another black guy, and he scored a touchdown. What is going on?”
Update: Sharpton is now suing Stafford for believing all black men look alike.
