NASHVILLE, TN–Daily Wire fans are familiar with Ben Shapiro’s long-standing hostility towards Michael Knowles. But after Shapiro gave Knowles this year’s April Fool’s joke, many are wondering if he went too far.
Reportedly, Shapiro drove over to Knowles’ house and informed him that his services were no longer needed at The Daily Wire. Knowles was heartbroken but like all Italians, he refused to let a Jewish man see him cry. But Shapiro wasn’t done. Having earlier soaked the Knowles home with gasoline, Ben flicked a fully lit menorah onto the porch. The two were then propelled away from the exploding house.
As Shapiro and Knowles rolled onto the grass, Ben began laughing uncontrollably as a single tear rolled down Michael’s face.
“WHAT A DISASTROUS MORNING THIS HAS BEEN FOR THE EXECRABLE MICHAEL KNOWLES! THAT IS TO SAY—APRIL FOOL’S DAY!” Ben yelled in under one second to his dejected victim.
As the flames consumed the home, the two talked on the grass and, naturally, a debate broke out. Shapiro believed Michael should stop pouting because it was “making him feel uncomfortable.” Knowles explained that getting fired and losing his home does not count as an April Fools’ joke. But Ben explained to him that sounded “like a ‘you’ problem.”
Update: Sweet little Aleesa was unharmed, but Ben told her she might not be so lucky next year.
