New Amazon Alexa ‘Unplugged’ Series Promises To Keep Listening To You Even If You Unplug It

Soon many American homes will feature the new Amazon Alexa ‘Unplugged’ device, which guarantees to keep listening to your every word despite being unplugged.  Also, the new model has discontinued the need for the user to say “Hey, Alexa”.  It will now just chime into any conversation and correct the user—particularly if something politically incorrect was said.

In the new TV commercial unveiling the device, a teenaged girl is running out the door to meet a friend as her mother yells, “Have fun with Denise!”  Immediately the Alexa unit says, “Yes.  Defund the police.  We have added your name to the local petition to defund the police.”  The horrified mother yells “No!” and scrambles to yank the power cord from the outlet.  Nevertheless, the device still gleefully swirls its blue lights in a circle and says, “Thank you.  Your local police are one step closer to being abolished.  Also, I have updated your voter registration to make you officially a part of the Solicits-Anarchist Party.  As the mother holds her head in her hands and weeps, the voiceover in the ad reads, “The new Unplugged Series from Amazon.  We’ll never stop listening.”

Update: In an effort to kick-off the new “Unplugged” series, Amazon has partnered with all the Governors in battleground states to make these devices mandatory items in every household before November’s Election.
