Senator Bernie Sanders left the nation in awe this week after unveiling his new children’s book titled: “Learn to Read (or Die)”. According to Sanders, this book is “guaranteed” to give America a 100% literacy rate among youngsters.
The book’s title, which ends in “(or Die)” is raising eyebrows with Americans. But in Bernie’s twelve interviews about the book, all the reporters accidentally forgot to ask him about that part.
Still, portions of the book have some educators questioning some of the phonics principles. For example:
“I before E, except after C, but C shouldn’t get any ideas. Or it’s the gulags for C.”
Also, in another section the book, it stresses that no letter should ever be capitalized. “never ever make one letter taller than its other comrades. you wouldn’t want to disappoint your dear leader BERNIE SANDERS, would you?”
