Earlier this week, failed presidential candidate, Eric Swalwell, decided to blow a huge fart at the audience of MSNBC.
Conservatives everywhere are laughing. Scientists tell us that this type of wind-breaking is a deep sign of aggression in the animal kingdom. But what about liberal Democrats? What emotions should they have felt as they saw the back of Swalwell’s suit jacket fly up accompanied by a profound baritone rumble?
The answer to that question should arrive shortly as Democrats have recently assembled a large focus group to determine their appropriate reaction.
“On one hand, we liberals universally thought breaking wind was funny,” the moderator commented during a break. “But that was before we denounced all humor in late 2016. So we’re still not sure what to do.”
Sources close to the group are telling The Glorious American a major point of contention is that while Swalwell’s fart seemed funny, the enormous plume of methane gas undoubtedly accelerated global warming.
Update: The focus group has determined that liberals may consider Eric Swalwell’s fart funny as long as Seth Meyers provides a document stating such.
