Former President Barack Obama took to Twitter this week to remind Americans that while it looks like Trump’s doing it, it’s secretly he who is orchestrating the economy with his magic wand. Obama’s tweets, both of which are raising eyebrows, read:
“Eleven years ago today, I stared down the economy and threatened to call it racist if it didn’t become like me. Great. I signed the Recovery Act and told the economy that around November of 2016, I wanted it to start roaring.”
“Like many great economies throughout history, it needs to be constantly guided with a magic wand. Naturally, only the wokest in the land has the power to wield it. It’s been my pleasure to sit in my 13 million dollar, Martha’s Vineyard home and masterfully wave it around, creating millions of jobs and a record stock market. You’re welcome, America.”
Donald Trump was not pleased with Obama trying to take credit for the booming economic numbers. The President tweeted a picture of Barrack wearing mom jeans with the caption: “Thanks for all the help, doofus. (Wrong!)”
